What is the Affiliate Program?

Commercial use of the SportSource Analytics Data Packages can be a little steep for many non-commercial analytics fans and users. To support the analytics community in 2014, we are offering an Affiliate Program that helps the entire community get access to the great data that we have, at pennies on the dollar.

So how do I get started?

Really easy. First, contact us by email and tell us a bit about your website. We love hearing all about the ways that our data can be used and for what purpose. From there, we will finalize your enrollment in the Affiliate Program.

What is required from Affiliate Program Members?

In addition to a nominal fee to support the program, we have a few simple requirements for our Members:

 Include small Affiliate Program Banner on your website.

 Add a code snippet to the <head> section of your website.

Other than that, we’ll have a standard rules and regulations form for you to sign, and then you should be good to go. You’ll get a username and a password and you’ll have access to our data files.

What are you going to do with the code snippets above?

Initially, probably very little. The first code snippet is really all about attribution for the statistical packages we provide. The second snippet is for us track the program’s success as well as to potentially advertise and bring valuable revenue to the affiliate program. Don’t worry, we will not be doing any advertising in the first year of the program. However, the revenue from future advertising will help bring down the overall cost of the program for all the Members. Our goal is for the program to be 100% free in the near future. We will also keep you very well informed of all exciting things happening with the program.
